Choosing the right
3D printing filament.

The right filament depends on what you are printing and how the finished part will be used. For general models, prototypes and education, PLA is usually the easiest place to start.

PETG offers increased durability for functional components, while ABS and ASA are useful when greater temperature resistance is required. ASA is particularly suited to outdoor applications due to its weather and UV resistance.

For flexible components, TPU provides elastic and impact-resistant properties. More demanding engineering applications may benefit from PA, PC, carbon-fiber or glass-fiber reinforced materials.
